Trip Overview

This 3-day safari offers a perfect mix of Tanzania’s wildlife and culture. You’ll explore the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, home to a variety of animals, and visit a Maasai village to learn about their traditions. On the final day, you’ll meet the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes at Lake Eyasi, experiencing their unique way of life before your departure.

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport.

Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival at the airport, a Tansafari Tours representative will meet you and assist with your transfer to your lodge. You will receive a short briefing about your upcoming safari and have time to relax after your journey. Enjoy the evening at your lodge, preparing for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Via Maasai

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a journey to the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater. On your way, you’ll stop at a Maasai village, where you’ll get a chance to meet the Maasai people. They will share insights into their traditional lifestyle, and you might even join in their welcoming dance. It’s a great opportunity to learn about their rich culture and daily life.

After the visit, you’ll continue to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll enjoy a game drive on the crater floor. The area is home to an incredible array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, and buffalo, all thriving in this unique ecosystem. You’ll have a picnic lunch in the crater and continue to explore its breathtaking landscapes before heading back to your lodge to relax for the evening.

Day 3: Visit Datoga and Hadzabe then departure.

After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Eyasi to visit the Datoga and Hadzabe tribes. First, you’ll meet the Hadzabe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Africa. You’ll learn about their ancient traditions and, if you’re lucky, even witness them hunting or using their traditional tools. Next, you’ll visit the Datoga people, known for their impressive metalworking skills and unique customs. It’s a fascinating cultural experience that offers a glimpse into their way of life.

After the visits, you’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch and, In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian adventure.
