Tengeru Cultural Program

The Tengeru Cultural Program is a great way to kick off your Tanzanian holiday! You will meet the locals and learn first-hand about Tanzanian culture and coffee production. After a short hike through the coffee and fruit plantations, you will learn about each step in the coffee production process, from plant to cup. You will discover how coffee is made, from planting to harvesting the beans, to roasting, grinding, sieving, and packing. Of course, you can lend a hand at any time and finally taste the coffee you made yourself. You will be accompanied by your guide and the friendly locals of the Tengeru Cultural Program.

After a typical and tasty Tanzanian lunch, you will head to nearby Lake Duluti for a guided canoe tour, where you will see many different species of birds and amphibians. Your guide will then take you back to your hotel.

Covid-19

The COVID-19 Pandemic has been a huge game-changer for the tourism industry worldwide, and Tanzania is no exception. Ensuring that our guests and staff are as protected and healthy as possible has become our top priority.

All of our staff have been trained by officials from Tanzania’s Ministry of Health on the necessary procedures to follow to ensure your safety. At the same time, we highly recommend that you follow the health and travel advice of relevant authorities such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the CDC (Center for Disease Control).

We encourage wearing masks, using hand sanitizer frequently, and maintaining social distancing at all times. Importantly, if there are any additional safety measures that we can implement to make you feel safer and/or more comfortable, please don’t hesitate to let us know!
