DAY 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your Tansafari-Tours driver-guide, who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha and brief you about your safari.

DAY 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast, and together you will drive to Tarangire National Park with packed lunches for your first game drive of your Tanzanian safari. In this beautiful park, known for its large elephant population and ancient baobab trees, you may see animals such as lesser kudu, eland, gerenuk, and lions. In the late afternoon or early evening, you will drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3:  Game enroute Serengeti National Park

Today is an exciting day as you drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park! After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will visit an authentic Maasai village to learn about their culture and lifestyle.

After a lunch break, you will continue to Naabi Hill gate, the main entrance to the Serengeti. While your guide takes care of the necessary details, you can stretch your legs on the walking trail to the observation point for some beautiful views. Once inside the Serengeti, you will enjoy a game drive on the way to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Serengeti National Park – full day

Today, you will spend the entire day game viewing in the Serengeti. The Serengeti is famous for its annual migration, where by  around 1.5 million wildebeest, along with hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles (and their predators), move through the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems.

The Serengeti offers some of the best game viewing experience in Africa, and your guide will do his best to ensure you have the best experience possible, depending on the time of year you are traveling.In the early evening, you will proceed to your lodge for meals and overnight.

DAY 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

You will enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before beginning your drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the highlights of your safari. The Ngorongoro Crater, formed by the collapse of a volcano over two million years ago and is home to a variety of wildlife.

You will descend more than 600 meters (about 2,000 feet) to the crater floor, where you will explore the area and encounter different animals. If you’re fortunate, you may even see the elusive black rhino. After a break for lunch near the hippo pool, you will continue your game viewing until late afternoon. You will then drive to your lodge in Karatu for your meals and overnight stay.

DAY 6: Karatu – airport
