  • Ngorongoro Crater: Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ngorongoro is the world’s largest intact caldera and home to the Big Five, providing a truly special wildlife experience.

DAY 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your Tansafari-Tours driver-guide, who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha and brief you about your safari.

DAY 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your driver-guide will collect you from your accommodation after breakfast and, together, you will head to Tarangire National Park with packed lunches for the first game viewing of your Tanzanian safari. Lesser kudu, eland, gerenuk, and lion – among other animals – can be seen in this beautiful park, famous for its huge elephant population and its multitude of majestic baobab trees, some of which are more than 1,000 years old! Late afternoon/early evening, head to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: karatu – Serengeti National Park

Rise and shine! Today is an exciting day, with your destination being none other than the world-famous Serengeti! Heading out after breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will visit an authentic Maasai village to learn about the Maasai culture and lifestyle. 

After a lunch break, you will continue to Naabi Hill gate, the main entrance to the Serengeti. While your guide takes care of the necessary administrative details, you can stretch your legs on the walking trail to the observation point for some beautiful views. Once inside the Serengeti park gate, you will game-drive your way to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Serengeti National Park – full day

Today you will spend the entire day game viewing in the Serengeti. The Serengeti is famed for its annual migration when approximately 1.5 million wildebeest move en-masse throughout the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles (and their hungry predators!), making a total of over two million migrating animals. The Serengeti arguably offers the most astonishing game viewing in Africa! Your guide will do his utmost to ensure you have the best experience possible according to the time of year you are traveling. 

Early evening, proceed to your accommodation, where you can sip a sundowner and review the day’s excitement while enjoying the sounds of the bush around you.

DAY 5: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy an early breakfast before you begin your drive to the Ngorongoro Crater for what promises to be one of the highlights of this safari! The Ngorongoro Crater, created by the collapse of a volcano over two million years ago, is home to an amazing abundance of wildlife and, in particular, the Big Five!

You will descend more than 600 meters (about 2,000 feet) to the crater floor, where you will explore the forest areas inhabited by monkeys and elephants; the lake area, where you might have the chance of seeing some flamingos; and the open savanna, where the lions hunt for food. If you are very lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive black rhino! Lunch will be near the hippo pool, after which you will continue with your game viewing until late afternoon when you will head to your lodge in Karatu for your last night on the safari circuit.

DAY 6: Karatu – airport

Today will be a leisurely day. After breakfast, we will depart with packed lunches to visit the famous Maasai tribe, where you will have an opportunity to interact with the Maasai People and gain Insights about their daily lives and witnessing their vibrant Cultural Practices

You will then be transferred to the airport for your return trip home or other onward destination.
