Trip Overview

This safari is best from late November/early December through  March, when the Great Wildebeest Migration is usually in Ndutu.

Seven days on safari is a good average to enable you and your Family to get the most out of your Tanzanian wildlife adventure, seeing the main attractions without having to rush.

This safari features a visit to Tarangire National Park, where you can see incredible wildlife, followed by an exploration of a local Maasai village in the Ngorongoro Highlands.You’ll also experience Wildebeest Calving at Ndutu. Your Safari will conclude with a visit  at the Ngorongoro Crater, all while creating cherished memories together as a family.

DAY 1: Arrival

Welcome to Tanzania! Your adventure begins as soon as you step off the plane and meet our company representative, who will hospitably welcome you and transfer you to Arusha to your hotel for resting and freshening up. You will have meals and overnight at your hotel, a luxurious and elegant accommodation that offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience. During your stay, we hope you will immerse yourself in the rich culture and breathtaking scenery that Tanzania has to offer.

DAY 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

Your driver-guide will meet you at your hotel after breakfast and, together, with lunch boxes in hand, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, for the first game viewing of your Tanzanian safari. There is no better place to enjoy a peaceful authentic safari atmosphere than in Tarangire. In addition to the elephants and towering baobab trees, you have good chances of seeing zebras, lesser kudus, elands, generuks, and lions. Late afternoon, head to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: Karatu – NDUTU

After breakfast, you will set out for Ndutu, enjoying a scenic drive through the open plains and picturesque landscapes along the way. During your journey, you will stop at a Maasai village, where you’ll have the chance to meet the local community and learn about their daily life, traditions, and rich culture.

From there, you’ll continue on to Ndutu, an area famous for the wildebeest calving season that usually takes place around February and March. During this time, thousands of wildebeest give birth on these plains, attracting predators and creating unique wildlife moments.

Later in the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed game drive through the area, taking time to look for resident animals and soak in the natural beauty around you. In the evening, you will arrive at your lodge, where you can unwind with dinner and spend the night surrounded by the calm sounds of the bush.

DAY 4: NDUTU – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy a half-day game drive in Ndutu, exploring more of its beautiful landscapes and watching for wildlife that may have been missed the day before. This gives you another chance to take in the area’s unique mix of open plains and woodlands, and to look out for predators that often follow the herds.

In the afternoon, you will leave Ndutu and drive to the Central Serengeti. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a leisurely journey with opportunities to spot wildlife and take in the ever-changing scenery. Later, you’ll arrive at your lodge in the Central Serengeti, where you will have dinner and spend the night in the heart of the park.

DAY 5: Central Serengeti .

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your lodge, you will embark on a thrilling adventure through the vast plains of Central Serengeti National Park. You will head out for your game drive where you will have the opportunity to spot some of Africa’s most magnificent wildlife. Our experienced guide will give you insightful information about the park’s unique ecosystem, and the important conservation efforts made to maintain this potential world heritage site.

At midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park. In the afternoon you will continue with your game drive, exploring more of the park and searching for elusive wildlife. As the day winds down, you will make your way back to your lodge for meals and overnight, with memories of an unforgettable day in the Central Serengeti National Park.

DAY 6: central Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Often called the “Garden of Eden,” this UNESCO World Heritage site is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, hyenas, and, if lucky, even the rare black rhino.

As you explore the crater floor, you’ll also see the beautiful scenery ,from open grasslands to acacia forests and the freshwater lake that often attracts flocks of flamingos. You will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot inside the crater, taking in the stunning views.

In the afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and drive to your lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 7: KARATU – Arusha – Airport

After breakfast, you will leave Karatu and drive towards Arusha. Along the way, enjoy the changing scenery as you descend from the highlands into the town.

Once in Arusha, you will take part in a short city tour. This is a nice opportunity to explore some of the local markets, visit cultural spots, and get a feel for the everyday life of the city. Depending on your time and interests, you may also stop for a local lunch or shop for souvenirs.

Later in the day, you will be transferred to the airport for your outbound flight
