Trip Overview

On this 8-day Tanzania Treasure family safari, you’ll explore Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and the Serengeti while staying in some of Tanzania’s most luxurious, family-friendly lodges. In Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti  You’ll have a Chance of witnessing various Wild life Including – the “Big Five” . In the Serengeti you’ll witness the Great Wildebeest Migration with plenty of time for everyone to relax and enjoy the experience.

To keep things easy with the kids, you’ll end your journey with a  flight from the Serengeti back to Arusha this will avoid  long drive and make the trip as smooth and enjoyable as possible for everyone.

DAY 1: Arrival in Tanzania

Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be greeted by a Tansafari Tours representative, who will transfer you to your hotel in Arusha and provide a brief overview of your safari.

DAY 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast this morning, your driver-guide will meet you at your hotel. Together, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, where you will enjoy your first game drive of your Tanzanian safari. Tarangire offers an authentic, peaceful safari atmosphere, with large herds of elephants and a good chance of spotting zebras, lesser kudus, elands, gerenuks, and lions. In the late afternoon, after an exciting day in the wild, you will drive to your lodge for meals and overnight.

DAY 3: karatu – NGORONGORO CRATER

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where you can experience the magnificent views before descending approximately 600 meters (about 2,000 feet) to the crater floor for an exciting day of wildlife encounters.

You’ll explore the forested areas, the lake, and the open savanna, where lions hunt for food. If you’re fortunate, you might even catch a glimpse of the elusive black rhino. You will enjoy your picnic lunch beside the hippo pool inside the crater.In the late afternoon, you will drive to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: karatu – Serengeti national park

On your way to the Serengeti, you will pass through Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying the scenic landscape. You will then continue to the Serengeti National Park’s Naabi Hill Gate, the entry point to this spectacular wildlife habitat.

As your driver-guide handles the administrative details at the gate, you can stretch your legs with a walk to the small lookout point and admire the beautiful views. Afterwards, you will return to your vehicle and embark on your first game drive in the Serengeti on the way to Serengeti National Park

DAY 5:SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your lodge, you will embark on a thrilling adventure through the through the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. You will head out on a game drive where you will have the opportunity to spot some of Africa’s most magnificent wildlife. Our experienced guide will give you insightful information about the park’s unique ecosystem, and the important conservation efforts that are underway to protect it. At midday, you will stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park. In the afternoon you will continue with your game drive, exploring more of the park and searching for elusive wildlife. As the day winds down, you will make your way back to your lodge for meals and overnight, with memories of an unforgettable day in the Serengeti National Park.

DAY 6 & 7: Serengeti National Park – full day

Spend another full day in the Serengeti, where you will witness the Great Wildebeest Migration along with a wide variety of other wildlife.

DAY 8: Departure

After the excitement of the Serengeti, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha, offering you the chance to view the stunning Serengeti landscape from the sky.

Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will have lunch before visiting the Cultural Heritage Center. The center is known for its galleries featuring locally made crafts, as well as its selection of gemstones and jewelry. Depending on your flight time, you may also have the opportunity to explore the Arusha Declaration Museum before heading to Kilimanjaro Airport for your return flight home or to another destination.
